1980 Gibson Explorer, natural. Made in USA, serial number 82840004. This guitar was made at the Kalamazoo factory and is identical to the earlier 1976 Limited Edition guitars with the exception of different tuners, it even has a medium fat sized neck. The previous owner had Suhr Aldrich pickups and new pots (with pickup push-pull splitting option) installed, along with cavity shielding. All professionally done, works like a charm. One of the last original style Explorer with mahogany neck and body, before the real 80s models took over. Small bit of wood missing at the treble horn, small and very old stress crack from the low E-string tuner screw. Comes with an old brown tolex Gibson hardshell case. Weighs a hair below 3.9kg.
