1974 Fender Precision Bass black
Late 1974 Fender Precision Bass, black. Made in USA, serial number 649160. This bass features new pickups (Seymour Duncan SPB-1), CTS pots, Pure Tone input jack, and a Fender faux tortoise pickguard. One replaced tuner screws. It sports an ultra rare factory black over mocha brown finish and shows a lot of wear. There's a spot between the pickguard and the bridge where an additional pickup was once installed, it looks like it was just glued to the body, damaging the finish. 'Luckily' the bass shows a lot wear overall, so this doesn't stand out immediately. The frets were freshly leveled and the neck boasts a very full profile. Fantastic sounding specimen. We call it a '74 as it matches our own database from dozens of other Fenders from the same era - if you wanna stick to the 'official' serial number guide, please call it a '75. Comes with a hardshell case. Only weighs 3.95kg!
