1969 Gibson ES-175D cherry sunburst
Ca. 1969 Gibson ES-175D, cherry sunburst. Made in USA, serial number 926808. This guitar is mostly original, but has had a professional refret, a newer Gibson ABR-1 bridge, vintage Schaller tuners (no extra screw holes!) and some overspray on the back of the neck due to play wear. Some seam separation at the very top of the headstock was also repaired. Without getting the pot casing out, our best guest is that this a very late 1969 or early 1970 model, as there is no volute present but the neck is back to the more sought after 43mm nut width. Also, it comes with the original black hardshell case with yellow interior and has the wide bevel pickguard, both typical for 1960s Gibsons. The original Patent Number stickered humbucking pickups sound wonderful. Weighs 3.2kg.
