1967 Gretsch 6071 The Monkees Bass orange
Ca. 1967 Gretsch 6071 'The Monkees' Bass, orange / faded cherry red. Made in USA. This bass is mostly original except for a refret and the obivous headstock reshape - this happened because it comes with a more recent Gretsch hardshell case that didn't allow for the whole oblong headstock to fit (!!!). The backpad is long gone, as is the second fingerrest and one strap button is also replaced. A great player's bass, plays wonderfully and has a great sound. Weighs only 3.3kg.
