1965 Gibson Melody Maker ebony

1965 Gibson Melody Maker ebony

Early 1965 Gibson Melody Maker, ebony. Made in USA, serial number 288833. This guitar was heavily modified, it had multiple refinishes over the years and sports all non-original, but quality hardware. Features a vintage Seymour Duncan humbucker with non-adjustable polepieces, wired to a 4-way varitone style switch for humbucking, single-coil and out of phase sounds. It's pretty cool! The logo is a replacement too. It doesn't look like it had any repairs underneath the refin, but we can't guarantee it - either way it's structurally solid, plus as an early '65 model it still has the wide nut width. Weighs 3.25kg.
