1965 Fender Stratocaster olympic white
1965 Fender Stratocaster, olympic white. Made in USA, serial number L24010. This guitarĀ featuresĀ in our opinion a '64 body as the serial number is fairly low and it still has the finish nail holes. The neck has aĀ July '65 date stamp and the two legible pickup dates are also '65.Ā The original faux tortoise pickguard is the pre-CBS celluloid type and luckily whoever tried to cut it for humbucker routes stopped before it got too bad, unfortunately two repaired humbucker routes are underneath the pickguard. Once had Schaller tuners and an extra string tree installed, refretted as well. The nut, pots, knobs, tremolo arm and two bridge saddles are not original.Ā It's a fantastic sounding instrument and one of theĀ best looking custom color / pickguard combos ever made. Comes with a later 1960s black tolex Fender tail logo hardshell case. Weighs 3.6kg.Ā
