1965 Epiphone Olympic Special sunburst

1965 Epiphone Olympic Special sunburst

Ca. 1965 Epiphone Olympic Special, sunburst. Made in USA, serial number 003640. This guitar is mostly original, except for a custom pickguard, newer knobs and a later 1965 white Gibson Melody Maker pickup. It shows only little wear, but has a lot of weather checking in the lacquer. The serial number suggests 1967 as production year, but this model with the short Maestro Vibrola was discontinued in 1965, and the pots also date to 1965. Weighs 2.7kg.
