1964 Fender Champ 5F1 transitional black tolex
1964 Fender Champ 5F1, black tolex. Made in USA, serial number C21204. This amp has most parts dating to 1963, so it's a very early 1964 transitional model with the tweed 5F1 circuit and the blackface era black tolex. It's mostly original except for new filter caps and the grill cloth. The speaker may or may have been reconed and it sounds wonderful, the bass response is much tighter than on any other Champ we've had.
